Let’s Care is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to creating a better and more beautifull new world together with you. This is realized by organizing and carrying out projects related to children, poverty and environment in those parts of the world where our help is most needed.
We are currently working on our children’s project in the Philippines, Panay Island, in two of the poorer provinces of this island. Realizing a new world without famine, poverty, war or injustice is possible if we all make an effort.
You can help us realize this project!! Let’s Care! Donate now!
This project was launched to build a home for maltreated, abused and neglected girls. In this home they will find a safe haven, are rehabilitated and offered activities and education. In this way these children can grow up into conscious, independent and happy people.
Maltreated and abused girls will be looked after and treated for their traumas under professional and caring supervision with a view to building a good life. In addition to personal development and empowerment, our attention is also focussed on school and study for the girls to obtain a decent place in society and break out from the vicious (poverty) circle. If necessary, the children will be looked after for many years until they have learned to stand on their own, strong feet. |

Home for Girls has opened!
On June 27, 2011 the home for girls has opened in San Jose. We have worked very hard to make this happen. The house looks beautiful, especially after a local artist painted some beautiful murals on the walls. We have been busy for weeks with decorating and arranging the rooms. All major agencies and involved partners we work with now or in the future were present. Everyone is happy with this new initiative. The governor and the mayor cut the ribbon together with us.The Bishop blessed the building and all the rooms, which was followed by all the visitors holding a candle.
It was a fantastic day, with all the media present. We are on the map and it is important that all caregivers know how to find us. Grateful, happy and proud we look back on the work done and what lies ahead.

University of Amsterdam sells Let's Care
Students of the CE of HVA raise funds for Let's Care
The students of two classes commercial economy of the University of Amsterdam, are working on a sales fundraising project to raise funds for companies.
Each team must prove its sales capabilities by achieving a sales target.
This way the students learn through practice the necessary skills to sell and the money earned will be spent on our project. There is also a group of students giving advice on how our website, public relations activities and appearance could be improved.
We thank the students and the teacher Hans Posthumus for their dedication and contribution and wish them lots of succes in carrying out the assignment! This is a great support and this we can help many children with these funds.
If you have a fundraising idea, then we are of course very interested!

Support educational programs conducted and sponsored by Pasuk Foundation
Besides our main project "Home for Girls" we want to show our social contribution to the province and the local community. We do this by carrying out small-scale projects under our other two working parts namely "Community" (community) and "Livelyhood" (employment). We have implemented our first project in the district. Supporting the school with 53 children in our district and 20 children in Cebu. The Dutch Foundation Pasuk was the sponsor for this. Education and proper supervision of children is a must for a chance for a succesful future. The school (expenses) tuition of the children has been paid by us and 7 children received school uniforms. For Dutch standards € 6.75 for one year school tuition is a ludicrous sum, but this amount of 375 Pesos is for many parents is a burden and the reason for their child not to attend school. For this amount they can buy 12 pounds of rice, which is the first necessity of life here.
We had our district assistant do a proper inventory and we have selected those children who need our help most. Parents and children are grateful for this tremendous help and support from Pasuk and us. The parents have signed an agreement in which they promise to support their child in school attendance, homework and school activities. Let Us Care will oversee the school results and identify any problems and hopefully solve them with the parents. Mayor Molina, the press, television and some members of Let Us Care were present at this event. It was a great success with happy children and happy parents.
Our next dream is to set up a nutritional program at school because many children go to class hungry. We hope that we can realize this dream.
